Zoho Campaigns Contact-Sync & Autoresponders

During our sales cycle, our Potentials progress through 2 distinct stages
  • Pricing estimates
  • Pricing quotes

I've set up two sign-up based autoresponders in ZC associated with two mailing list segments to correspond with this 2 stages. I've also mapped the potential stages field as a custom field in ZC.

It's important to note that during our estimates stage, this could take anywhere between 1 day to 8 months. So the autoresponder associated with this has several emails that are sent periodically (1 week, 1 month, 3 months) in an attempt to further the potential through the pipeline.

When the contacts are synced (1/wk), the contacts are placed into the two segments based on the potential stages criteria (estimates and quotes).

So here's my query...

Lets say I have a customer in the estimates segment (and autoresponder) and then the next week, following the sync they are added to the quotes segment (and autoresponder) - Will they be removed from the estimates segment given the fact that they no longer fit the estimates segment criteria.

I don't want my 3rd autoresponder email being sent to the customer 3 months later when they have already progressed past this stage.

If this doesn't happen, then what is the work around? If the sync only works in one direction (ie CRM>Zoho Campaigns) then this makes it hard to automate things with sign-up based autoresponder and Zoho CRM sync because the conditions of the customer changes therefore any drip campaigns setup on this autoresponder may affected.
