How to remove "Run as Service" from a clients computer?
Hello, I have seen this posted from 2 years ago but with no solution. I am using Zoho Assist for one time support to customers as needed. The problem is if I install as a service so that I can reboot and auto connect, once the support call is over the customer is left with the service trying to auto connect every time the reboot their computer from then on. How do you remove the service once you are done with support? I don't want to have to ask my customer to have to perform a task to remove it
Pausing/holding/transferring
Any chance of any of these three options at any tine soon?
Unable to Run as Service
I am trying to get the remote computer to "Run as Service" so the Reboot and Reboot Safemode options become available. Session seems to disconnect and reconnect but will not Run as Service. Any ideas? Thanks!
Reconnect After Reboot
We just left GoToExpress and are now using Zoho Assist. One feature we used a lot in GTE is a reboot of the remote windows computer along with a auto reconnection back into the same remote session. Any chanch of adding this feature to Assist? Thanks!
Not able to select Reboot
I just purchased a subscription for Zoho Assist. For some reason I can not select Reboot from the drop-down menu to reboot my user's computer. I was under the impression that I could choose this option and my user's computer would reboot and then reconnect with my computer after the reboot. However, both the Reboot and Safe Mode Reboot options are grayed out and do not work. How do I fix this?
New User Question
Hi Guys, I have just started using Zoho Assist to provide remote tech support and I have a question please. I have added the code to embed remote support into our website, however it seems that the user can't just enter the session ID and click connect without having to download Join.exe first. Is this normal or am I misunderstanding something please? Many thanks!
How to: Remote tech has Windows Administrator password - not end user
I read the UAC page (https://www.zoho.com/assist/help/uac-support.html), and it looks like the end user - not the remote technician - has to enter the administrative password in a UAC dialogue. Is this correct? Any work arounds? I support a company that does not want their end users to have administrative privileges. I can visit their office and install Zoho client software, if that is a viable solution. Thanks, let me know you thoughts.
Scanning for viruses
I normally just use Assist to teach computers to long distance clients, but one of them has asked me if I could help them get rid of some viruses. Is there a way to run a virus program that is resident on my computer through Assist and scan their hard drive? I know I can do this by installing the program on their machine, but can I do it without installing the software?
Version 1.5 won't update
So I was notified this morning that an upgrade exists. After the update is downloaded, I tried to install the update but get an error "Update Failed". That all I get in the error message. I'm using Windows 8 Pro... is anyone else having issues with the new version?
Starting a new Session
When we click on ZOHO assist to start a new session we log in and it says Retrieving User Detail but nothing happens. We just paid our fees last month so that should not be the issue. We use this program almost Daily so we need to get it to work.
When is the new version of Zoho Assist going to be available?
The current version has a lot of problems with UAC and is practically unusable for remote support with clients. Every time a UAC prompt is triggered, I can no longer provide input to the computer. It is very frustrating. Most of the time, running as a service doesn't work either, because the user has to allow that and if nobody is sitting on the other end, the whole thing just freezes and becomes unusable.
how to know which version i'm using?
Hi guys, i'dd like to know how i can know which zoho's version i'm using. thank you
Mac Return Key
Scenario: The support tech and the customer both have Mountain Lion (Mac OS X 10.8.5). A customer has installed the desktop plugin (Zoho.app). The support tech uses Chrome to sign on at www.zoho.com/assist with his account and initiate a support session; he furnishes the session ID to the customer, who enters it to the Zoho.app desktop app. The sessions commences normally and the tech takes control of the session. Note, the support is using a mid-2012 macbook pro, the customer is using a 2013
ZOHO Meeting Remote Support/Assist SLOW!
Is there any way to make the clients screen render faster like you can do with log me in?
Question about the Zoho Assist program
When a remote computer installs the small file to make the connection, does it automatically remove the program when the session is closed? Is this a program install or a temporary process that is running? I am trying to understand what takes place. I want to be sure that the program does not leave files on the remote computer if it is only for a one time support session. Thank you.
Unable to install
I have a problem with the installation file for Zoho Assist. At our school we have network accounts and users' documents are stored on a network drive. When I log into the computer using a local administrator account, the program installs fine because it installs inside that administrators local My Documents folder. When I log into the computer using a network user, Zoho Assist attempts install inside the users My Documents folder, but can't because it is a network drive. Can you please change
change the color scheme ?
Is there a chance for a change? Programs like TeamViewer or Mikogo work much faster when I connect to Win7. During the session, change the color scheme, which makes windows faster and more stable operation. Sometimes I use them instead of ZOHO because I can't help remote workers :/ You can add this feature in future releases?
Mac download (client-side)
Hi there, I have a customer who has an Apple Mac (OS X) who I'm trying to support, but recently, we have been unable to start a Zoho Assist session (we managed without problem last year). I suspect the recent problem is due to Apple's clamp-down on Java. He's installed Java from http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1572 After entering the meeting ID, he's prompted to download & install a plugin, which he does, but we're then prompted to install the missing plugin again. We seem to be going around in circles.
Mac Desktop Plugin "Zoho.app" is damaged
I've just signed up to test Zoho Assist as a solution in our Apple Mac environment and cannot install the Mac Desktop Plugin from Zoho.dmg. The error message is below: “Zoho.app” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should eject the disk image. “Zoho.app” is on the disk image “Zoho.dmg”. Safari downloaded this disk image today at 8:21 AM from meeting.zoho.com. OS X version is 10.8.2
Unable to update my credit card number

Is there a way for Zoho Assist to be in view only mode?
Is there a way for Zoho Assist to be in view only mode? This would not allow you to take control of the users screen but to view it remotely only. Thanks
Zoho Remote Support- how is it compared to GoToAssist?
I'm using Zoho for my CRM and stumbled across Remote Support. I currently use Go To Assist and really like it, but it's $69/mo! That's a big hit for a one man operation like me. How reliable is Zoho? Is there any lag or buffering with Remote Support? What type of speed is the the file transfer? How easy is it to get clients on Remote Support?
File Transfer in Assist
Doesn't work. Always is stating fail.
Move the Embedded Support Connect Button
Hello. I love using Zoho Meeting and Assist. It works great for my needs and I'm trying to get more people in my company to use it. Now to my question. I am going to use the iFrame embed code to put the session ID key entry point on our website. However, I need to be able to move the "Connect" button to the right of the Session ID Key form field, instead of having it below it. Is there any way to do this? I see that there is a switch to include, or not, the logo so, I was hoping there might be a
