Embedding a report without displaying menus and edit features
I have no technical knowledge and do not understand the majority of what I am reading. I have report embedded on my site (iframe). Someone set it up for me so that only the records of the person searching are displayed, while suppressing all records not belonging to the person searching. Everything works fine - but, when the report displays it also shows all of my menus and edit options that the person can see and click on. I only want them to see their results - not all the administrative options
Page boarders using permalink
Is their any code that can be added to the permalink to set margins. I'm working on a form that will be accessed through smartphone 99% of the time and it looks like the left/top margin is around 6 - 8 px. Not only is screen space important it also leaves the form looking of center as the right margin is about half that of the left.
Form security breach
I created a form SITE_ADDRESS and have not shared it yet. I have a SITE form that lets users pick a SITE_ADDRESS with an option to add a new site address if it does not exist. However, users are able to add new site addresses even though I have not shared the SITE_ADDRESS form yet. Why is the form not being restricted? How come users can see the "Add new site address" link even if they do not have privileges. I am hoping to restrict the form to a specific group but it appears anyone who can access

Hi, I had created some html views with embedded forms and views. They worked fine until i used the old app builder.Now they are not shown when i am using the new app builder. I think it might be bcoz of the new app builder or bcoz of some update or fix. Please update about it this issue. Abhishek
View attachment in subform
Hi, I have encountered a problem when using Subform. I created a Subform that allow user to attach any number of file attachment. For example, if the user want to attach only 1 file, he just need to add 1 row and attach the file; if he want to attach 3 files, he need to add 3 rows etc.. Images from iphone too big
Hi there, Just created form to use from iPhone. When I attach an image from iphone into form, the form will not upload to Zoho server. Red error message says that image is too big. Anyway to reduce size of image prior to attachment ? What image size is preferred ? THanks Jai
Scripting "On user input" for Subforms and a Bug
My subform contains a dropdown field. I want a textbox in the subform's same row to display a value depending on what the user selects in the dropdown. Clearly the "on add row" is not where to put this code. So I selected "configure filed actions" from the form builder: And it loads a page that is totally not editable. If I hit the "free-flow scripting" button, nothing happens. Code Editor downgrade?
Is it possible to downgrade the latest upgrade in the Code Editor via some user preference? All of this gradient, fading, animation, ghost text is very difficult to work with. I like the color coding and the line numbers. But I think Zoho went way too far with the eye candy animation. Tony.

Code Suggestion to Get Date for Previous Thursday
Greetings all... Any quick code suggestions for calculating the correct date for the previous Thursday from a certain date.... Ex: The date given is Tuesday, August 20, 2013. Creator Graphs can be so powerful !

Modify radio button field names
I have a DB with 1000 entries. I just tried to modify one of the selectable field names. There was a radio button list of say Apple Banana Grape That I modified to 1 - Apple 2 - Banana 3 - Grape Now the fruit column in my table is blank. Is that data gone, or listed incorrectly or what. Re-posting: Issue with new application builder's look-up feature
My app has a number of forms that have look-ups to a database of room names. Thus, records submitted pull these room names using the look-up. The reports of these records show the room names as expected. However if I try to write any code to reference a room name, only the ID values of the room names are available, not the text versions. How can I write any functions that have text value inputs when only ID numbers can be referenced? Here's an example

I'm just passing along an advanced tip I recently implemented on an application. I had the need for more than the just the zoho.loginuserid to view and edit a record, but not everybody. I created a text box field to hold a list of emails: And populated it using another form. Hi Zoho, I am facing an error on my application on Zoho creator. The user fills in all of his/her data and clicks on 'submit'. Once that happens this error message pops up 'Error occurred please contact application owner'. However, the data has been trapped in the database. Size of file
I have an application where it is critical that I know the size of the file uploaded. Does not matter if it is before the upload or after the upload. I just need to know the size at some point. (I understand there is a 5mb limit this has nothing to do with my question) Is there a way to find out what the size of the file is? Any workaround or ideas will be appreciated. Thanks David
Formula with no time
Hi I am still new to using Creator. I have made a formula to add a number of days to a date field. Expression I've used: Start_Date.addDay(364) In the formula field it showing the correct date (364 days later than Start_Date) but it is also inserting the time. For example it is inserting like this: 11-12-14 08:00:00 Does anyone know or can help me to just get the date and not the time as well? Thanks
Report: chart & pivot type
I want to show both a line chart & the table chart of the same data. Rather than create 2 reports, my suggestion would be to include a chart type that shows both. I've used other reporting tools that have that feature. It would be a nice add on.

Can't upload excel sheet into Zoho Creator Application
Hi there I am trying to upload an excel sheet (.xlsx) with 9 columns and 140 rows. Whenever I browse on my computer for the file, then select it and click "create", I only get to this URL https://creator.zoho.com/importData.do and it stops doing anything. It's just a blank page. Is there anything specific that I need to do with the excel sheet? Is there a limit of character I can use in the cells? I am looking to use Zoho for my new product launch but I need it to work properly. Thanks for the feedback.
Creating many-to-one relationships using subforms without duplicating records

Hi, I'd like to create an e-mail that is sent whenever a variable called WCExp reaches 10 and then again when it is at 1. Spell Check
I note that Spell Check does not continue to work after I make the first of the suggested changes. Once I make a correction, any further spell check is absent. But if I highlight the entire paragraph, right click and de-select spell check, and then re-select spell check any mis-spellings are again shown.
