3rd party apps importing/linking to Zoho docs
I'm a big fan of the notion of CREATING (not just storing) documents online. For purposes of this question I'll refer to Zoho Writer. However, it seems the productivity advantages of working online using Zoho Writer are lost when you want to share created document with another 3rd party app you are using - let's say a group collaboration site such as Central Desktop. Hi, I want to back up my Zoho data files at the end of every day by Exporting them down to my desktop computer. This is easy when exporting a single file at a time but it is time consuming. I want to save time and effort by exporting all the files in a particular folder at the same time. Can this be done? How to link doc uploaded in Zoho Doc with Zoho Projects?
I have uploaded documents in Zoho Doc. I have also create a project at Zoho Project. But I Project do not know how to link it together, please help me! Sharing a folder
Is should be possible to share a folder. It is nice to make personal folders but in our company we have a public folder structure. Is should be possible to make this structure, then share a folder to a group, and all users in this group gets this structure visible.

DMS Features
Hi, I'm using Z Docs extensively thank you. It is a useful online tool. Are their any plans to implement simple DMS type features like those that Documentum solves....but is too top heavy. The feature I'm interested in at the moment is to be able to assign a document reference code/number to every doc I produce with Z Biz apps or import. Sharing Docs
Hi, I have selected a doc to share with another known Zoho user. To test, when I log in as that other Zoho user (my other personality), the document does not appear anywhere in my 'shared to me' folders. However in the 'sharer' I can see from the file properties that indeed the file is shared to the correct known zoho user' Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Thanks Luke
Update only selected records in view?
I'm not sure how to update only selected records. At the moment when user select lets say 5 records in the view and execute custom function void dateformat.updateDate() { for each ordered in Orders[Ordered=="Yes"] { ordered.Order_Date=zoho.currentdate; ordered.Ordered="Yes"; } } It updates all records instead selected. I couldn't find anything that says how to isolate selected records from the view. Could you please be kind and help me with this problem. Thanks Sasa
Uploaded Docs not listed under Writer
After uploading a word document, it is not listed under any of the sections in Writer. This seems strange to me. The "Welcome" documents from Writer/Sheet are available in Docs
Sheets problem
Hi, I'm in the process of switching over from google docs to zoho docs and am noticing a big (for me) problem. I use spreadsheets to keep track of some student information and instrument inventories for my school. When I go to open a spreadsheet that I moved over from google, and go to open up another sheet within the spreadsheet, I get an error message that say something like "problem opening sheet" and the sheet won't open. Search: doesn't find all documents
When i try to seach a document, only personal documents are found: documents where i am the author. It should find all documents, shared by or to me. It is really important to fix this problem!
Docs really needs a L-R scroll on the bottom!
This program is unusable to me. My husband is visually impaired so I have to use 800 X 600 resolution. I can't even see the whole page on my screen! Each time I use the program, I have to change resolution. How stupid. I can use Word with my resolution just fine without having to make any resolution changes. They need to work on that.

Archiving Documents for offline backup
Hi, Not that I'm a non-believer of the hosted Biz Apps concept, however my legal folks would like to have the ability to archive all of our online documents and download them periodically to our own site for local backup. Open Documents in Zoho Docs
RE: Downloading Documents: After opening Doc's, I can't get a file to open to edit it, etc. I have to go to Zoho.com, and open specific application to find file and open it. None of the other buttons work. Other than a listing of all files, I don't understand usefulness of Doc's.
Check In/Check Out Capabilities
Greetings ~ I just started using the ZOHO Docs application and would like to be able to have users "check out" a document, work on it (make changes), and then load it back up as a new version. Is there a way to be able to communicate to other users that the document has been checked out and they should not download it and make changes? I don't understand the use of "Shared to me" and "shared by me". No one files is there ever and i have not found any explanation of the use of folder "shared docs" thanks arl

a simple text editor for displaying (editing) text files
Hello I find zoho docs great and I would like to upload some simple text files, with the extension .tex (latex files) and .m (matlab) files. However it does not seem possible to configure zoho docs, such that these file could be displayed by a simple text editor. could such a feature be added? thanks Uwe Brauer
Tags
Tags in Docs, must be rethought. Currently, two separate tags must be entered, one for the document, and one time for "views". This second entry is totally unnecessary, if a list were automatically generated from the tags entered for documents. Tags for documents also must be viewable easily.
Use of tags
After tagging some documents, I can't tell which documents are tagged, and it takes many clicks to see the tags, or even to see which documents have tags. Not very useful. I want a tag indicator to appear next to each tagged document in the document list. "My Tags" near the bottom of the screen allows you to create a tag, but it doesn't appear when you go to tag a document. What are "My Tags" used for? I'm not saying that I urgently need tags, but in their current state they don't seem very useful.
Managing Groups
When you try to invite someone to the Group the system continuously gives you and error: "Error occurred while inviting new members" even though it is a valid e-mail address.
Docs and Project Integration?
We've been using Zoho Projects to manage and work on multiple drafts of our internal and external documents. This is necessary since we need to tie documents to tasks, and projects. However, with zoho projects its very difficult to find and navigate the various documents that we have across tens of projects. One-click Sharing with Groups
I would like to be able to share my Zoho Docs with my group members without having to enter each group member's email ID. I want to just be able to invite the group. The group I manage is 30+ people - entering each person's email ID is time consuming.

zoho docs is continuously reloading
when I open zoho docs the page is continuously reloading. This make me impossible to use this service. This happens both with google chrome and firefox. This doesn't happens logging in with a friend username and password. tHanks

See the screen shot attached. Can not get started by clicking 'New'; there is no button/text by that name. First-time users are mis-directed. Confusing.
