Accessing Extension Created Functions

Good day. I have recently been attempting to access a function from an extension that is installed on my crm in a standalone function I have created with deluge on Zoho CRM, however I have not managed to get this to work. I am attempting to send an SMS on my standalone function to users who meet a certain criteria, and I am trying to do so via the Send_SMS function that the extention provides. Is what I am attempting to do possible or are extention functions inaccessible anything outside of the extention it was installed with. If the case is the latter could advise be provided as to how to achieve my goal.
