Accounting on the Go Series-11:Simplify Your Financial Tasks - Apply Credits to Open Invoices in the Zoho Books Mobile App

In today's edition of our "Accounting On-the-Go" series, we would like to guide you through a simple yet handy feature in the Zoho Books mobile app - applying credits to open invoices.

Imagine you're on the move, and there's an open invoice from a customer that needs your attention. Rather than waiting to return to the office, you decide to take swift action using the Zoho Books mobile app. Your customer has available credits, making it convenient for you to apply them directly to the open invoice. This functionality allows you to manage your invoic es efficiently and streamline your financial transactions, all from the convenience of your mobile device.

How it works in Zoho Books iOS app:

 Open the Zoho Books iOS app.

 Go to "Invoices."

 Select the invoice for which you want to apply credits.
 Click on “More” and choose “Apply Credits.”
 In the upcoming page, you'll find all available credits for the customer.
 For each credit, you can opt to “Pay in Full” or enter the desired amount in the "Amount to Credit" field.
 Double-check the invoice due at the bottom and save the transaction.
 The payments will be automatically recorded, updating the invoice status to Partially Paid or Paid, and adjusting the balance due.
 Corresponding credits will be marked as closed if fully applied.

 How it works in Zoho Books Android app:

 Open the Zoho Books Android app.
 Navigate to the left side panel and go to " Sales >>Invoices"
 Select the invoice for which you want to apply credits.
 Click on “three-dot icon and choose “Apply Credits.”
 In the upcoming page, you'll find all available credits for the customer.
 For each credit, enter the desired amount in the "Amount to Credit" field.
 Double-check the invoice due at the bottom and save the transaction.
 The payments will be automatically recorded, updating the invoice status to Partially Paid or Paid, and adjusting the balance due.
 Corresponding credits will be marked as closed if fully applied.
