Add color to your CRM tags to identify records quickly

Hello everyone,

Tags are unique identifiers that can be associated with different records. For example, Hot leads, Cold calls, Big deals, etc., which helps to search, sort, categorize, filter, and segment records efficiently.

The new enhancement is done to facilitate more functions to tags.

Color coding of tags

You can color the tags for distinction and a better understanding of the records. You can use the predefined colors to mark the tags to highlight their importance, the department they belong to, state of the record, etc.



For example, you can use the following color code for your leads to help reps prioritize:
  • Red for high priority leads
  • Green for moderate priority
  • Yellow for low priority



Once added, the tags will be reflected in the record details pages, list view, kanban, and canvas view as follows:









You can add color to the tags from all the places where the tags can be created or associated with their records.

A few of these places are:
  • Record (bulk or individual)
  • Bulk records
  • Imported records
  • Records added via web form
  • As instant action through workflow rules
  • Blueprint actions

Can I modify the color of the tag anytime later?
Yes, users with "Module Customization" permission can modify the color of the tags anytime later from the Manage Tags option in the module.




What will happen to the existing tags?
The existing tags will remain colorless. However, you can color code them if required.

Please note that, in the upcoming updates, color coding for tags will be supported in the following places:
  1. For criteria and filters dropdowns, where the tag field can be picked.
  2. Tags column in CRM where the tags are displayed like reports, related list records, etc.
