Is it possible to add items to recurring invoices?

Is it possible to add items to recurring invoices?

I have a couple of clients who pay me recurring invoices every year. However, in some years I do extra services for them. Is it possible to add these extra services to a recurring invoice before it's sent or is there a better way to do this?

The reason I like to use recurring invoices for these clients is that if I don't, I might actually forget to bill them on time.
