The latest platform update has broken the display of alert messages.

This can be replicated this by testing an "On Edit / Validate" script which cancels form submission and generates an alert message to the user. All that happens is a generic "Failed to update" error is displayed without the alert message specified in the script.

Why is there so little testing done before rolling out these updates which so frequently seem to break things that were perfectly ok beforehand??
