Announcing the new UI for Zoho Show

Zoho Show now sports a fresh look with the new gray interface that looks more neat and professional. The menu tabs are well organized, with the feature sets smartly grouped under each tab. The new UI also aims to provide a consistent user experience across other document editors within Zoho Docs. 


Here are few notable enhancements that comes along with the new UI:

More Animation and Transition Effects

You will now be able to build better graphics with the new, enhanced gallery of animation and transition effects. We have added a new category of animation effects called Emphasis, which will help you draw attention to a specific object on the slide. The Entrance and Exit categories also gets extended with newer effects such as Appear, Flip-In, Float-In, Fade-In and Zoom. 

All these animation styles can now be applied to paragraphs too (it was never possible before!) and each animated object will display a number, indicating the order in which the animation plays. That said, reordering of the animation effects also gets evident and much easier.  

Your slide transitions can get even more interesting with the newly introduced styles like Gallery, Cube, Twirl, Pivot, Revolving door, Fall, Fade, Flip and Zoom. When wisely used, these effects can help you deliver a memorable visual experience to your audience.

Picture and Shape Presets

Once you have inserted a picture or a shape, you'd want to add effects to make it more prominent. Shadow and reflection or gradient and texture fills are few of the most popular effects that you can choose to emphasise an object on a slide. To make it easier for you, we have added picture and shape presets under the respective formatting tabs. Just pick one from the readily available built-in variations and keep building your slide deck.

Video Search

Video Search is a new feature that allows you to search and insert videos without leaving your presentation. You will be able to search for relevant videos, play them right there and insert them just in a click. To start with, you can directly insert videos from websites like YouTube and Dailymotion. Going forward, we'll be adding other related sites to this list.        

Dynamic Picture and Shape Formatting Tabs

The Style tab that's always been there to format pictures and shapes is trashed in this new interface. Instead, we have introduced separate, dynamic formatting tabs for picture and shape. These tabs will appear on the menu, when you're actually looking to edit or format the objects on the slide. 

Most of the enhancements discussed above, are part of our efforts to simplify Zoho Show's UI to the extent possible. While we work hard making it even better, please do help us by sharing your suggestions or feedback as comments below.
