Apple iWork Pages

Hi,

I was using a Mac to create a new document using iWork Pages word processor. I then uploaded the file into Z Docs to store it. Later once I downloaded it again from Z Docs, the file is now not recognised by iWork Pages. It says it is not a valid file type anymore.

Any ideas?
