Approval Chain - Job Request

Approval Chain - Job Request

It seems that logged user or users in the job request approval chain are still required to action their own job request. This is not the same case in every organization. For us, job requestor should not action the request he/she submitted. It should automatically skip the approval and move to the next approver in line for action. 

Can we have some clarifications on this?
