We run a primary school, and up to now each individual student has had their own customer record. This means that for each school term, an individual invoice is produced for every child.

With multiple large families, we want to switch to generating a single invoice for a family, with each child listed in a line with the terms fees for that child.

My questions:

Right now I assume that the simplest method to achieve this is to make the parents the customer and then each child as a contact. 

BUT 

is there a simple way to set this up to allow auto invoice generation for an entire family?
