Can the CRM do a sales team management?

Can the CRM do a sales team management?

Hi ..

I am intending to start a referrer programme .. which I get freelance referrers to refer clients to me .. and I will pay them a little referrer fee .. need the the following:

1) Track which agent referred a particular client
2) Track all the clients that have been referred to by a particular agent.

I understand that I can assign it under the "Lead Owner" field and track .. but imagining having 100 free agents who may or may not be active .. and I got to pay $12/user EVERY MONTH! It just does not make sense to do it ..

The only closest thing I can find is the "CRM" Apps for Creator .. but this will mean that I gotta access 2 sets of information.
