Cant seem to Add Data Source for SQL Server using 2nd Database ?

Cant seem to Add Data Source for SQL Server using 2nd Database ?

Problem :

I have added an SQL server data source with the connection to an  SQL Database "1" , imported tables etc etc , all good 

Now I want to Add a new data source so that I can connect and import data from a different SQL database "2" (on the same SQL server) . This seems to be all good (i.e through Steps 1 to 4 of Add Data source ) until I hit the final "Create" button on Step 4 when I am told :

"Alert Message A datasource with same connection details exists already. Please use the existing connection or specify a new connection" 

1) I started out with a "new connection" so not sure why it doesnt relaise this and \ or 

2) If I use "existing connection" , this is linked to Database 1 and I need to link to database 2

I think I must be missing something simple here ?!
