The filters in Zoho Sheet have become even more collaboration-friendly. Previously, whenever you filtered any data, the filtered view will be updated for all the spreadsheet collaborators. This disturbed the data for others working on the same file. With this new update, you can apply data filters without altering the view for other collaborators in the file.
Let us say you are working on a sales report spreadsheet in real time with two remote colleagues. If you apply a filter to see how a specific product has been doing, the others' views will remain unaffected, making it possible to study data without interrupting their workflow. Similarly, all three can have specific filters applied and work without interrupting the other user.
Note: With this update, Zoho Sheet allows read-only users also to filter the spreadsheet data.
Want a filter to be applied as default for all the users accessing that specific spreadsheet for the first time? This filter stays till the users choose to clear or replace it. You can set the desired filter as the "Document Filter." Publish your spreadsheet with set Document Filter and avoid any confusion by presenting your data the way you want.
Note: Though user-level filters will work on Zoho Sheet's mobile apps by default, named filters are currently not available on mobile apps. However, we've already started working on it, and you'll hear from us soon!
Our newest Zoho Sheet update makes it easier than ever to work better together, no matter where you are. Try it out and tell us what you think about our updated filter options!
