Creating timesheet

Hello All,

I have a created a time sheet on Google and been updating it for all of 2008.  All of my time is logged in there perfectly no problem.  However, I started a new file for 2009.  Somehow all of my formulas don't work anymore.  So I decided to try Zoho. 

I have a few questions.  The times are coming out standard AM/PM not military time.  I want military time.  Once I add all of the times at the end of the week I'm not getting a correct totals.  Below are the formulas that I'm using (e.g.)

9:30:59 17:30:59, formula ((b1-a1))*24

Adding time for the week =sum(b1:b5)
