Custom button to autogenerate SKU numbers in Zoho inventory

Hi there,

I'm wondering if it's possible to make a custom button to autogenerate SKU numbers in Zoho inventory. If so, has anyone done this and can share how they accomplished the task? I know that Inventory auto generates SKUs for composite items but we'd like to autogenerate SKUs for standard single items.
