Display multiple fields in lookup dropdown

I have a module called Technicians and a related module called submissions that registers technicians for different assignments.  The lookup in Submissions to Technicians is the Technician ID (auto generated unique number).  How do I display in the dropdown in Submissions the Technician ID AND the Actual Tech Name?
