Need help with importing expenses

I'm using the template downloaded from the application. When I try to import my expenses, I get the message:  Duplicate entry in the Expense Date column. Ensure it contains unique values.

None of the rows will import. There are duplicate dates, but they are unique expenses. 

Has this functionality actually worked for anyone?
