Hi Zoho Cliq Team,
We would like to request the ability to create a channel in Zoho Cliq that includes all three types of users:
Internal employees (organization users)
Guest Users (non-Zoho users joining via guest chat)
External Users (users from other Zoho organizations or networks)
In many real-world collaboration scenarios, we need to bring together our internal team, a few temporary external consultants (as Guest Users), and long-term partners or vendors who use their own Zoho organization (as External Users) into the same conversation thread.
Currently, we are limited to either:
Guest chats, which support employees and guest users only
External channels, which support employees and external Zoho users only
But there is no unified way to create a channel where all three user types can collaborate. This forces us to split communication across multiple chats, which causes confusion, slows down discussions, and leads to fragmented context.
Please consider adding a new type of channel (e.g., “Mixed Channel”) that supports:
Employees
Guest Users
External Users
This would greatly enhance cross-organizational collaboration, improve project workflows, and reduce communication silos in situations involving clients, partners, freelancers, and internal teams.
We believe this functionality would be very valuable for any business that works with a mix of internal staff, temporary consultants, and external partners.
Thank you for considering this request.
Best regards,
Ram
