Enhancements - Custom Plan Descriptions in Subscriptions

Hello Everyone,

At Zoho, we aim to simplify your subscription business with new customizable features. Zoho Subscriptions now allows Custom Plan Descriptions for Subscriptions.

Experience more flexibility with Custom Plan Descriptions. Now, customize dates relative to the Billing Start/End dates using the placeholders. The Plan Description gets captured in the Invoices generated for the subscriptions.

Here's how to do it.

The subscription billing start date and end date can be recorded in the invoice using placeholders.

%BillingStartDate% - Placeholder to insert your current subscription period's billing start date

%BillingEndDate%  - Placeholder to insert your current subscription period's billing end date.

Eg :   %BillingStartDate% to %BillingEndDate%   will give you 18 August 2015 to 17 September 2015

Please note that the date format used here is the date format selected in the organization profile.

However you can also give a different date format by specifying in the placeholder as

%BillingStartDate|(dd)-(mon)-(yyyy)%

You can also add numbers to the date or month as needed as in %BillingStartDate|(d)-(m+1)-(y)% which will give you 18-September-2015.

To display either the date or month alone then you can skip the braces as in %BillingStartDate|m%which will give you August or %BillingStartDate|m+1% which will give you September.

On Renewal
The same customized placeholder will be applied upon renewal with the changed dates if you've used any of the date placeholders as mentioned above.

On Update
If you're changing the subscription that includes changing the quantity, price or the plan/addon; you'll be able to edit the Plan Description as well.
