Having both option Autonumeric & Disable (by possibility to add any codes/ref)


Hello,
I have 2 type of invoices : 1) Services 2) Trading/Other, both using different codes. Therefore, I would like to have the possibility of using both Autonumeric & Disable ((by possibility to add any codes/ref) at any moment.

I've tried to Disable (by not marking the checked mark) and put a new code H001 to an invoice after few autonumeric (ex INV094001, INV094002), however it didn't work, instead I found INV094003

What should I do?
