When a member of the management team applies for leave the request goes to the Managing Director.

The managing director would like to see who is on holiday throughout the complete organisation by hitting one button to show him who else is on holiday for the date requested not just the member of the management team.

The managing director has to filter the view everytime, so he doesn't and I end up approving all leave after the event.

If I look to see who in the organisation is on leave there is no distinction in colour between leave that has been approved and leave that is pending approval.  So I could, in theory, decline leave thinking that there are other people off, when, in fact, their leave request is pending.
