How can i add a overdue payment to the system?

Hello,

How can i add a overdue payment to the system? when i try to add a a payment to the invoice it states "Amount entered is more than the balance due. Please enter the correct amount.". It will be great to have a option to add overdue payment to the invoice.

Also, i had an invoice that was move than the due date, it was not flag as an overdue invoice.
