How to import from a file local to the server running Analytics

How to import from a file local to the server running Analytics

This seems like it should be the easiest thing in the world, but I can't find a way to do it. We run the on-premise version, under Linux. We have jobs that deposit files in a particular directory on the machine running Zoho Analyltics. I want to import those files on a schedule.

If I try to set up an import for a file, none of the choices just let me specify a path to the file on the box. The "Local File" option means "local to the client running the web browser", which is not the server box. The other choices are to paste content in (no) or connect to an FTP server (no). Just want to load a file from the local (to the server) file system.

I've also tried importing as a feed, using a "file:///path/to/my/file" URL, but Zoho claims that file URLs are invalid.

What am I missing here?
