Is it possible to switch off Email to users when @mention in Notes

We would like to switch off emails to users when they are @mentioned in Notes (from anywhere in CRM), so that users are not 'working' from multiple places

Sending to Cliq or having a notification on CRM would be an alternative

Is it possible to change the configuration?
