Massive import of products: problems and suggestions

Massive import of products: problems and suggestions

Hello!!

Our company works with nearly 10,000 items, most of them with the world color, size, capacity, size, among others. Our suppliers present files (csv) with all the necessary data.

I run into some problems when importing, which I understand, I must do it by Article Groups.

1) It is not possible to duplicate the "Name of group of articles": in our case this is essential that there are articles that are duplicated in their name but of different characteristics and suppliers. For example, a pencil. Also, when composing the article, in the import, the name consists of the "Article group name" + its attributes. This is not right for us that, for example, if we sell a "cotton bag" called "Florida Cotton Bag", we sell this and not "Florida Cotton Bag / Red / Cotton". It is therefore important for us that the articles doubled by name. What differentiates what article we refer to is your SKU.
2) I see that, when importing, I do not have access to some important fields for us. For example, the "preferred provider" and that the item description is not imported for each of them only for the "Item group name"
3) I think it would be necessary to have an attribute master where we can define our characteristics and that the Groups of Articles are more a configurator than a grouping by attributes.
4) I also see that it is not possible to import the images. In the CSV files provided by our suppliers we have the URL of the image of each of them.
5) I suggest that you see this utility, developed for woocommerce, that would be of great help for complex imports like ours ( http://www.wpallimport.com/woocommerce-product-import/).
6) We have begun to test the new ZOHO STORE product. We love that the integration is immediate, in real time. But, also, the import options are very basic.
7) It would also be interesting to have the possibility to categorize the articles in different levels

I look forward to your response. A greeting!
