Need ability to remove accounts with zero balances from Financial Statements
Requesting that Zoho add the ability to remove inactive accounts and/or accounts with zero balances form Financial Statements. I have old bank accounts that we haven't used since 2017 that are inactive on our COA. However, because those inactive accounts had transactions posted to it back in 2017 as of now it stays on my balance sheet with a zero balance forever. This is crazy - that there is no way to suppress these dead accounts. Therefore I request that Zoho implement at least one of the two scenarios below (both would be prefereable - but I'll take one):
1. Set up company preference to suppress inactive account visibility in the application - including financial statements. (same for customers, items - all inactive transactions should go away from normal views)
2. Give option to remove zero balance accounts from financial statements (however, this option should not impact accounts that are parents to sub-accounts. We have parent accounts that are only used for grouping togther accounts - we don't post to these - that even though they have zero balances they should stay to provide clarity to financial statements)
As I am coming up with 1 full year using Zoho Books - it is a total love/hate relationship. On many aspects Zoho Books has some incredible features which are totally ahead of the curve of the competition; however, when SUPER BASIC Accounting 101 features are missing - and there are multiple instances of this - it puts a damper on the enthusiasm for the good stuff.
