Option to import and export contacts is now supported in the Bigin iOS app

Hi everyone,

In the latest version (v1.3.1) of the Bigin iOS app, you can now import and export contacts with a click of a button. This feature will help you to save time and eliminate the process of entering the contacts information manually.

This feature is available in the iPad OS and macOS (v1.1.1) as well.

Importing contacts:

You can import contacts using the 'Import from Contacts' option available at the top of the contacts module in the Bigin mobile app. With this option, you can import contacts faster than ever and you can import up to 2000 contacts at a time.

Note: If you are in the free edition, you can import 250 contacts in one go.

I have attached a screenshot below for your reference:

You can also import contacts from the settings page of the app. You can do so by going to the Bigin mobile app > Settings > Scroll down and select 'Import Contacts'.

In case you come across any validation issues while importing contacts, you can sort them out by tapping the 'Resolve' button.

For example, if there are two contacts with the same email address (or) if a contact has an invalid phone number, then the validation issue will crop up. You can enter a valid phone number or email address and tap the 'Resolve' option for the contact to be imported.

Exporting contacts:

Just like importing contacts to the Bigin app, you can also export contacts from the Bigin app and contacts will be exported to your contact list on your mobile device.

You can export a contact by tapping the 'Export' option in the details page of the contact.

You can bulk export the contacts from the settings page of the app to your mobile device's contacts or export it as .vcf file as per your convenience. You can do so by going to the Bigin mobile app > Settings > Scroll down and select 'Export' > Tap 'Export to Device Contacts'/ Export as File.

Note: The bulk export option is available only in the paid edition of the Bigin app.
