We have over 10,000 lines sorted into categories and sub categories. 

To create a price list we usually mark up from landed cost to create a "list price" This is the price list our staff then uses. 

The Account Manager sells the product by applying a discount at inventory line when keying a sales order.  We also need seasonal price lists with a fixed date e.g monthly specials.

The flow would be any discounts under a certain margin per product category e.g socks goes to an approval process to the relevant manager. Any sales orders above the required margin are automatically approved.  

We require the buy price on the invoice to be shown as price after discount (with no mention of discounts shown) 

And for the list price to be fixed (no one can change) at sales order / invoice level, but the % is not fixed and can be changed.
