Problem switching an existing Invoice to another client name

Hi,

I am trying to switch an existing invoice so it goes to another client.
(I need same invoice number, just need to address it to another client.)

It used to be easy to do I think... now it seems it won't work... the action works but it doesn't register and stays on old client...)

Please advise
