Sales by Item total not equal to Payments received

Sales by Item total not equal to Payments received

I'm running reports on my Zoho invoice account for the previous year.

The total showed for the "Sales by Item" report is LOWER than the total showed for "Payments Received"

Can someone explain why?

I'd understand if the Payments Received were lower than the Sales, since I think Zoho Invoice counts every Invoice sent as a "Sale" but that doesn't mean the full payments were received for all sales before the last year ended.

But I can't understand why my Payments Received is HIGHER (not by a few cents or dollars, but by $1000+) than my "Sales by Item" total...even with the "Amount without discount" column showing, the total for that column is still lower than my Payments Received report.
