Security Policies

Hurray! We are one step ahead!!

Every business enterprise has diverse needs and requirements. Zoho One is one such software solution which can be just right in such a condition.
This wise thing to do would be to customize the system for all your unique requirements.

With Zoho One you have the complete administrative control.

Zoho One has two types of Administrators:

Admin : These admins have access to all applications and can also enforce org-level security policies.

Service Admins : These admins will have access to only that particular service.

These admin roles can be managed through the Zoho One Admin Panel.

Some services also allows you to have multiple admins, while some allow you to have only one.

Zoho One Admin Privileges : Adding users, removing users, create groups, add applications, assign applications to users, modify or edit users profiles.

What strikes our eye the most is the SECURITY POLICY

Many of us are anxious at the thought of something going wrong that we’re afraid to adequately prepare. Keep your business safe which is of utmost importance. Define your company-wide security policies, like mandating two-factor authentication while you login.

We at Zoho One ensure to give you all the privacy and security to keep your business safe.

We not only help you enforce security policies you can also customize and keep the policies in place by prioritizing them.

You have a Drag and Drop option with which you can prioritize your policies.

The policy with the highest priority will be implemented, and the default policy will have the least priority among the list.

You can create a new security policy by giving a name to it. This policy can be enforced to various groups as per your requirement. You also have an option to exclude users from individual groups if you wish to.

The Security Policies we at Zoho One offer you are:

Password Policy

Mandate a strong password to prevent unauthorized access.

There is an enable or disable switch on which you can click on. This will help you enable the password policy and set your password expiry period, number of previously used passwords to be refused, minimum length of a password, enforce users to have both upper and lower case alphabets in their password, minimum special characters and digits in a password.

Two Factor Authentication

It helps you enhance your security. This is an extra layer of security using different methods.

You have an option to choose your Authentication modes:

  • SMS
  • Time-based OTP
  • Touch ID
  • Push notifications
  • Smartphone
  • QR Code

Allowed IPs

Restrict the IPs from which your account can be accessed. This avoids unnecessary logins from unwanted places. You can either add a static IP or set IP range.

      • Feature update: Advanced security settings

We've previously written about how using security policies could be beneficial for admins. To enable you to better protect your organization, we've come up with a few additional settings for security policies in Zoho One that can be used to regulate your users' web sessions. What are web sessions? A web session refers to the period of time you stay signed in to your Zoho One account. You create a new web session every time you sign in to Zoho One (or any of its included apps), and this session exists
