Security Update: Zoho Reports is phasing out TLS 1.0 and 1.1 by 30-Sep-2018


As a part of our continuous endeavor to make Zoho services safe, secure, and reliable to our customers, we wish to bring to your notice an important security update.

 

Change Summary:

We will be phasing out the support for TLS protocol version 1.0 and version 1.1 by 30 September 2018 due to identified security vulnerabilities. We are upgrading to latest TLS protocol version 1.2 which is more secure and meets the updated PCI standards.


Action to be taken from your side:
 
As end user of Zoho Reports if you have been using any of the following resources, then you need to migrate to the latest version as recommended below, by 30th September 2018.


1. Web Browsers:

You must upgrade to TLS 1.2 supported web browsers which are listed below.
  • Internet Explorer version 11 or above (For IE 9 & IE 10, settings should be changed on the customer end to enable TLS 1.2)
  • Google Chrome version 30 or above
  • Mozilla Firefox 27 or above
  • Safari 7 or above

2. Mobile Users:

If you are accessing Zoho Reports from any of the mobile devices, then the mobile platform must support TLS 1.2. Supported mobile platforms are below.
  • Google Android version 4.1 or above
  • iOS 5.1 or above
  • Windows Phone 8.1 or above

3. Zoho Reports Upload Tool:

If you are using Zoho Reports Upload tool, then upgrade to the latest version available. You can download the latest version from the below link:



4. Zoho Reports Client Library Users and API users:

  • C# Client Library:

    If you are using Zoho Reports C# Client Library, please download the latest library from the below link:

    https://www.zoho.com/reports/api/#c-library

    Note: You have to use .Net version 4.5 or above.
  • Java, PHP, Python and Go Client Libraries and API Users:

    Make sure that the platform you use supports TLS 1.2. If not, please upgrade your programming language / application platform to the latest version which support TLS 1.2.


Please note that, after the said period ( 30 September 2018 ), all requests to Zoho Reports with older TLS versions (1.0 & 1.1) will throw error.
