We are a carpet retailer and I am preparing to upload all my stock items into Inventory. We have lots of individual carpet pieces that we normally sell as they are as one piece. I am planning to upload them so each is a unit that a customer buys '1 of' (eg, 4m x 6m = £200, so 1x unit @ £200). However, there are times when we may offer to cut a carpet down for a customer. So for example we may cut the above in half meaning they will buy 0.5 of the unit for £100. I can then sell the remainder, but I'm thinking Zoho will think I only have 'half' a unit left?? But it is now still 1 unit but half the size!

Is anyone still with me!!??

I have also tried inputing the above as 24 units (sm) @ £8.33, but when someone buys you have to remember to calculate and input correctly, which leaves margin for error, so I feel the first way is the correct way.

Any ideas?
