Tip #13- How to install Assist unattended access agent using SCCM- 'Insider Insights'

Introducing the second bulk-deployment method: using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM). SCCM is an intranet-based high-speed bulk-deployment tool, ideal for deploying software to all computer systems within the same intranet under the same domain. SCCM bulk deployment is conducted through Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.

  • Designed for desktops and laptops: SCCM is specifically tailored for deploying software to desktops and laptops within an organization's network.

  • Windows systems: SCCM exclusively supports Windows systems for bulk deployment, ensuring compatibility and successful integration.

  • On-prem solution: SCCM is an on-premises solution, offering faster deployment and easier management within the organization's infrastructure.




Deployment process using SCCM:

  1. Prepare deployment package: Download and extract the ZohoAssistStartupScript.zip file. Copy the extracted script file to a network shared folder (e.g., \Server\Myshare) accessible to all computers on which you intend to install the unattended access agent.

  1. Create SCCM package: Develop a new SCCM package containing the ZohoAssistStartup.bat file along with the necessary installation parameters.

  1. Deploy SCCM package: Deploy the SCCM package and select the target computers requiring unattended agent installation.

  1. Complete installation: The unattended access agent will be successfully installed on the designated devices, enabling seamless remote support.
