Tip of the Week: Show Total Value and Data Label in Ring Chart

A Ring/Doughnut chart is a circular chart, akin to a pie chart. This chart is especially useful in finding the contribution of parts to a whole set, contribution of each element that adds up to the whole composition. Some examples of Ring/Doughnut chart may include sales across regions, marketing spend in various channels, rainfall distribution etc.,

In Zoho Analytics, you have an option to Show Total Value and Show Data Label in a Ring/Doughnut chart. By default, the total value will be displayed at the center of the Ring/Doughnut chart, and the data labels will be displayed for each segment. 

Let us see how to add these manually,
1. From your Ring/Doughnut chart, click the Settings icon.


2. On the General Settings page, under the Display section, 
  • Enable the Value and Percentage checkboxes inline with the Show Data Label option. You can format your data labels using the Set Format link.

    Note: By default, only the Percentage value will be displayed in the chart.
  • Enable the Show Total Value checkbox. You can also customize the Label and Font to be displayed.

3. Click Apply to save the changes made. You can also get a glimpse of the chart, by clicking the Preview link.
4. Click Save to retain the changes made.
