This issue has been noticed since at least Monday the 11th, (although the last mail I have in my inbox is from the 8th of Nov, 2024).
When I check mail (POP) through Thunderbird as it has been configured for the last 10 years with no issues, I receive a popup to re-input my password with the message "Login to server poppro.zoho.com with username MY_EMAIL_ADDRESS" failed.. When I click the button to re-enter password and type my password (that works just fine in webmail), I then receive the message "Sending of username did not succeed. Mail server poppro.zoho.com responded: User already specified."
This happens with the 3 accounts I have setup on my Windows PC, the 3 accounts we have setup on a Linux PC, and with other clients that we had recommended to use zoho at a different location, all with multiple different emails and computers.
This issue is the same across the board for all of us. The Linux PC seems to have intermittently downloaded a couple of emails after the 8th but nothing consistent, and it has been left on all day, whereas my Windows laptop was shutdown part of the night.
The only configuration change I have tried is to change from normal password to encrypted password, but that did not help, so I put it back the way it has been working for the past 10 years.
This issue is happening across platforms on Thunderbird, and Outlook, in Windows, and Linux, all on multiple computers at different locations owned by different users.
