Hello everyone,
We're excited to announce the release of some features and a couple of enhancements for January. We hope it will help you plan your event without a hitch.
Without further ado, let's get into the latest updates from Backstage.
Say hello to the new, much-improved OnAir
On July 31, 2020, we released OnAir by Zoho Backstage for virtual events. While it was pretty good, we also recognized there was a long way to go before calling it a day. For this update, we concentrated on making OnAir more seamless and versatile, be it with session presentation or session engagement.
Now multiple speakers and attendees can video conference at the same time, which means the virtual experience becomes all the more collaborative. Apart from this, you can also share session materials and create multiple-choice polls where attendees can choose one or more answers. The latter is something a lot of you wanted, so we're happy to now offer it. Oh, and we also gave the user interface a face lift.
Integrate with Zoom to host online sessions in Backstage
Take your event online and integrate with the Zoom Webinar webcast service to host your sessions. Before you begin, configure Zoom in your Backstage portal or select the Zoom option in the Webcast service section of the Event details tab.
During sessions, you can share your screen with attendees and add interactivity by using polls and chat. Screen recordings can be captured as well and accessed in your Zoom account later. Keep in mind that only members who have a Zoom account with webinar license and who are part of the Backstage portal can present sessions. As always, once the session is complete, you can access the Summary tab to see how the session went with the help of analytics, feedback, poll results, etc.
OTHER UPDATES
- We've introduced a new custom section. With the Media and text custom section, you can add images or video with supplementary text in your microsite.
- You can now hyperlink the images in the media found in the header of the Home page and in the Media and text custom section.
- Event orders can now be edited to modify details collected during registration. All fields in the ticket registration form, including the custom form fields you've added, can be changed, with the exception of the billing address, purchaser's email address, and the tax details.
- You can also edit individual tickets and modify attendee details in the Order Summary tab.
And that's a wrap. As always, we'd love to know what you think in the comments below. Drop us a line here or write to us at support@zohobackstage.com with any product-related questions or suggestions.
Happy organizing!
