What's New in Zoho Inventory - May 2018

A month has flown in a blink of an eye, and here we are again with the much awaited post! This time around we have directed our focus on the little details and improved the existing features so that it can enhance your experience with Zoho Inventory. Let's jump right in!
 
1. Link Invoices to Sales Orders in Bulk
 
When you import invoices in bulk, you can link them to the corresponding sales orders in Zoho Inventory. This saves you the time from manually creating invoices for every sales order. Likewise, you can link your bills to purchase orders in bulk. Read more.
 


 
2. View the Committed Stock and Available Stock for an Item
 
We have broken down the Physical Stock and the Accounting Stock into three categories: Stock on Hand, Committed Stock and Available for Sale. This categorization will give you a detailed information on the stock availability in each warehouse, so that you can carefully plan before you commit your service. Read more.

3. Export Batch Numbers along with Your Transactions
 
If you have enabled batch tracking in your organization, then while exporting transactions from a module, you can also export the batch numbers associated with those transactions. Read more.
 

 
4. Manage Adjustment Reasons
 
Every business has their reason for making stock adjustments. If your reason for adjusting stock isn't listed in Zoho Inventory, you can manually add them. Also, you can manage the unused and unwanted reasons by marking them inactive or by deleting them. Read more.
 

 
5. Advanced Search for Item Adjustments
 
You can view the list of adjustments that were recorded for a period using the advanced search for Item Adjustments. This helps you to find out the instances where the stock was adjusted for a particular reason. 
 
For example, when you search for adjustments that were made with the reason - 'Stock Theft' between 1st April 2018 and 30th May 2018, all such instances when the adjustments were recorded will be listed. With this list, you can analyze the situation and take appropriate measures to minimize such occurrences. Read more.
 

 
6. Batch Tracking for Composite Items and Bundles
 
Similar to items, you can now add the batch details to your composite items and bundles in Zoho Inventory. Read more.

7. Upload Multiple Images for  Items
 
Provide a clear visualization of your products to your customers by uploading multiple images. For every item, you can add up to five images, each with a maximum size of 5 MB. This feature is available for Items, Item Groups as well as Composite Items.
 

 
8. Grid View for Items
 
If you find it difficult to identify your items by just their names, then switch to Grid View. This displays each item in a card like format where each card contains the thumbnail of the item image and its primary details such as the Stock on Hand, Selling Price and Purchase price. 



 
9. Track Your Inventory Transfers in Real-Time
 
We have extended the AfterShip tracking service to Transfer Orders. You can now track your inventory transfer in real-time. This helps the warehouse managers to know exactly when the stock will reach them from the source warehouse, so that they can manage their sales and deliver goods on time. 
 
You have to enter the tracking details in the transfer order created in Zoho Inventory. The live tracking of the transfer will be updated the moment we receive notification from AfterShip (Tracking service provider). Warehouse managers also can enter their email address or mobile number to receive the status notification and stay informed. Read more.


 
10. Landed Cost for Bill of Entry - Indian Edition
 
You can allocate the custom duty charges and additional charges from your bill of entry as landed cost on your corresponding bill in Zoho Inventory. Read more.
