What's New in Zoho Subscriptions - December 2019

Hello Everyone,

We've been busy refining your subscription management experience during the past few months with both feature updates and under-the-hood performance improvements. Read on to know what's new in Zoho Subscriptions this December:

Pause & Resume Subscriptions

One of our most requested features is finally here! You can now pause and resume your customers' subscriptions. Use this feature instead of canceling and re-activating subscriptions for customers who need a temporary break. Pausing subscriptions won't affect your churn reports and can be automated by configuring a schedule. Learn more.

Set a Favicon for Custom Domains

If you've enabled custom domain mapping for your organization, you can take your branding one step further by setting a favicon for the customer portal and the Zoho Subscriptions' web app. A favicon is the logo that appears on browser tabs and will be visible to you and your users whenever you access Zoho Subscriptions and to your customers when they visit the customer portal.

Support for iDeal on the Hosted Payment Pages

The iDeal payment option via the Stripe integration, which was previously available from the customer portal, is now supported on the hosted payment pages as well. It will be available on public hosted payment pages by default if your organization's country is set to the Netherlands and your base currency is Euro. If your organization is not configured this way, you can use API hosted payment pages for customers who are in the Netherlands and have their currency as Euro.

Change VAT Treatments at the Transaction Level

You can now change the tax treatment of individual subscriptions for VAT MOSS enabled organizations. You will also be able to set this tax treatment as the default for customers. These changes are applicable only for the UK and Global editions of Zoho Subscriptions.

Open Hosted Payment Pages on the Same Tab

If you use Zoho Subscriptions' Embed Widget to direct customers to your hosted payment pages, you can choose whether to open a hosted payment page on the same browser tab or on a new tab. Simply change the open_inSameTab node in your widget's embed code to "true" if you want to open the hosted payment page on the same tab as the widget.

Multi-currency Support for Razorpay (Indian Edition)
The Razorpay integration now supports transactions in currencies other than your organization's base currency. With this, your customers will be able to make payments in foreign currencies from invoice payment links, the customer portal and API hosted payment pages. Learn more.

Attach Invoice PDFs to Payment Initiated Emails

The Payment Initiated email that's sent to your customers when they've made a payment via ACH or Direct Debit, can now be configured to include a PDF copy of the invoice along with the email. To enable this feature, write to us at support@zohosubscriptions.com.

Go ahead and give these features a try and let us know what you think in the comments below. We'd love to hear from you. Stay tuned for more updates along with our year-end wrap-up next month. Happy holidays!

Cheers,
Varun Steven
The Zoho Subscriptions Team
