Delivery channel plays a decisive role in how quickly certain project updates translate into immediate actions. A release is ready to go live. An issue is marked critical. An approval is pending. These moments are less about tracking and more about timely response.
With
WhatsApp integration, the project updates can now be delivered as messages on WhatsApp using approved templates. Users can send updates on projects, tasks, users, time logs and custom modules using workflow rules.
For example; in a release workflow, when a task moves to Ready for Deployment status, the release owner is expected to take the next step. With WhatsApp integration, the update can be sent as a WhatsApp message: “Task ‘
Task Name’ is ready for deployment.”
The setup follows the below flow:
Admin can begin by creating WhatsApp templates and submitting them for approval. These templates define how the message is sent.
Next, WhatsApp notifications can be configured by selecting an approved template and choosing the recipients.
These notifications can then be associated with workflow rules by defining when they should be triggered.
Once this is set up, notifications are sent automatically when the workflow rule is executed.
This integration extends how updates are delivered, making them part of a more immediate and connected communication.
