Working out formula for date range.

Hi, 

New to all of this but I have 2 date fields labelled as 'From' & 'To'.  What I am trying to do is create a formula as a separate field that looks up the difference between the 2 dates.  I hope that makes sense as I just do not get how the formula stuff works.
