Zoho book's barcode scanner not picking up products when scanned

So, my accounts are linked with Zoho inventory and Zoho books. On the inventory side, we get asked to enter UPC codes during the addition of any new products. All our products have their own upc codes. However, while using Zoho book's android barcode scanner, the items don't come up after being scanned. In fact there is no place to see the barcodes in the books side.

Can someone help me demystify this barcode issue?
