Zoho Calendar API

I would like to be able to add/edit events in Zoho Calendar directly from a Zoho Creator application. Is there an API on the way soon?

At the moment, all I can do is add an iCal feed to Zoho Calendar and embed a calendar view. The main problem with this approach is that when an appointment event is added or edited in the app, Zoho Calendar does not automatically and immediately re-fetch the iCal feed to display the change.
