creating a pivot table or report which contains text
Hi I am new to Zoho - I have created a database which contains statements - goals to be exact, that are filtered by a number of sub categories - I want to present the data in a pivot table so the views can be easily changed. however I can only get the pivot table to show numerical data - is this correct? is there a solution? Help! My public forms have disappeared my on public website
I have really got myself in a twist - please help! How to export to Excel
While the help topic says to go to live view and there will be a drop down menu of more actions, and then select export data. On going to more actions I do not see the option "exprt data". Can any one help ?
Need to create a hash based on email adrdess or zip code
I would like to create a unique hash for a public user based on email address or zip code or some other field. Any idea how I can do this easily or point me to a coding or function solution? Thought there might be a .hashcode() function somewhere. Chris
Delimiting Multi Select field with Line Break instead of Comma?
Is there a way to make multi select fields put each new entry onto a new line? Rather than delimiting with a comma delimit with a line break? Will not graph a calculated field
I have created a simple graph that plots two simple number say x and y - all OK. When I create a calculated field y * 100 it will not plot and says data is unavailable though the calculated data can be seen in the data view OK. I can see no reason for this so tearing my hair out! Chris

Then the teacher enters name of a student in one "single-line" box, and the students email in another single line entry box. .. then they press submit.. error when updating dynamic pick lists
Hi, I have a form where I have subsecuent pick lists being updated dynamically based on the previous one selection. The issue I have is that when the user updates the first value, the script moves through the whole chain of picklists until the an error is issued based on the null selection of values. in other words, when a pick list is assigned with values, the script considers that as a user input which triggers the next pick list assingment. This ends up with a mistake at the end of the chain.

Stateless Form Submission and input.ID
I have a stateless form that submits data. Part of this data is a url link to the record created by the stateless form. The problem is, in constructing the link in the stateless form OnSubmit script I'm using "input.ID". This value is being assigned null in the record. I was under the impression that creator might hold a value for ID in case the stateless form called for it. I guess not. Now I'm left with having to script and assign my own "ID" to reference this record. Am I totally wrong, or is

Hi, anyone know a on input/script to automatically insert slash to separate dd mm yy. I explain, I need facilitate the life of the user and transform a date inserted as a number like 010212 in 01/02/12. Grid view does not work properly.
I can change the display view from List to Grid OK in "More Actions/View As", but I can't set it to be the default. If I choose Grid to be the default Display Type, it shows in List format.

Hi, I had a form working fine for quite some time. Today I've added two dozen text fields to it and tried to modify entries, and got the following error - General error, message from server: "Got error 139 from storage engine". Googling up showed that the error is with MySQL InnoDB max row length limitation. Is there a way to fix it, to make text fields blobs for example ?

'Duplicate' record button in Grid View
There doesn't seem to be a 'duplicate' button when viewing in Grid View, the 'duplicate' button only appears in List View. For my app, I sometimes need to duplicate records very often and change some fields for each duplicated record. Normally, what I've done is to select the record in List View, click duplicate record, then manually edit each duplicated record. Ideally, if I could duplicate the records while in Grid View, I wouldn't have to manually open up each duplicated record to edit the fields,
Sharing with large number of users
My app has about 100 users and that number changes. I'd like for all user to be able access the view, but don't want non-users (public) sharing. Is there a way to allow a view to be accessed by ALL users without having to enter them individually or maintain a group?
Data collection and input with restricted access

I am looking for a data collection application much like microsoft access in which variables can be edited and submitted by my clients, however they are unable to view other individuals data. This is vital as the data I am collecting is confidential. Is thia possible on Zoho, or is it only possible to allow the individuals full access by making the file public? Problem editing and deleting entry
Hi! I have imported data into Zoho Creator and all seemed to go well. However, i noticed that I cannot update or edit the updated data. When I edit an imported data, it first said that "Data Updated Successfully" but then later I got this error message: Error occured while on Update script. In the subString function length of the parent string is 0 but the end index is given as 2. Please also see attached. I don't understand this because I don't get the same problem for the manually entered data.

Ref the new auto complete feature does it only search by entries that start with the letters you enter, or can it search all entries for matching letter sequences. e.g. If I enter "chilled" can it only find entries such as "chilled food" or "chilled dessert" or can it be set up to also find entries which include the word "chilled" such as "keep chilled" or "store chilled". Subforms on load
I have an application which contains a subform that loads 5 records on load of the parent form. in this subform i have a fields called "day". What i would like to do is have the names of the days of the week be embedded into those fields on load of the parent form, starting with Monday, and ending with Sunday. How to add line separators

Change ownership with Google Accounts sign in
Hello! I would like to change the ownership of my Zoho Creator project, but I want to pass on the ownership to someone who will log in with a Google Accounts ID and not a Zoho ID. I know I can change ownership by adding an admin and then make it as primary, but since the "Add a new email" page asks for an email and password, I don't seem to be able to indicate that the passing on will be through a Google login. Is there a way to override this?

Hello all, I would kindly like to get help in making a search interface. I have already created the stateless form with the search button and also the html view. However, am having difficulties in writing the script. Ideally the search form has 6 fields which can be used to search,I would like that an input into any of the fields gives a result. Import date errors in Zoho Creator
Hi When I import any data into zoho creator document view I have created, if the date on the data is older then the todays date it give an error Row 15 Col 15 - Value '24-Jan-12' is not a supported date format Row 15 Col 16 - Value '24/1/2013' is not a supported date format Row 18 Col 15 - Value '01-Feb-12' is not a supported date format Row 26 Col 15 - Value '01-Feb-12' is not a supported date format Is there something I am missing?
