Creating an email list to use in Google Mail?
Hello, I'm trying to create a simple contacts database for a supporters club to include our current and past members, and to use it to email our newsletter or letters in PDF. I would like to set up an action after filtering the view to create a list of email addresses that I can copy into Google Mail. I've read the "Create Action" and "Functions" help/support, but I cant get it to work. Can anyone provide an idiots guide to create a list of email addresses separated by commas that can be copied
In View -- How To Group Similar Fields Together
How can I group (mark with frames) similar fields into a group on a View? I have attached a picture showing in other software the use of a frame to indicate the purpose of 2 or 3 fields. My second attachment shows similar information on a Zoho Form. How can I group these fields together logically and cosmetically? I would like to use a frame or what have you to show the user that the fields (3) are related in purpose. Thanks, ppD
PDF as background
We use graphically intense PDF forms where users hand-write info into fields. In MS Access you can use the PDF image as the background and float the data fields (controls) over the background. Is there any way this can be done in Zoho?
Hide certain fields based on what view the user is coming from
I have a fairly large form with a lot of information on it, so quickly filling out a small section is a bit tedious. I am wondering though if I can use "hide" or "show" commands for certain fields based on what view the user is coming from. I know I can do this based on the user's ID, but since all users need access to all the fields this is not an option.
Multiple tabs in forms
Hi, This has been a reoccurring question over time and I'd like to pose it again. I have many fields in my form and there is currently no good way to group them. Are you considering offering multiple tabs in forms? I know you offer stateless forms but this is not suitable for my requirements. It is purely a presentation issue, I need to be able to group information on one form, with easy, quick access to all. Multiple tabs across the top of a form would be the IDEAL fix for this. Drop Down List: Hide -Select- from choices
Can I hide the listed choice of -Select- from my Drop Down list? I have a form drop down control which I set to a default value for new records. If they click the the drop down, they see my alternate choices along with Zoho's -Select-. Can I remove that from the drop down list? Thanks, ppD

Auto generating a field scripting error
I have a subform on my Equipment View that when you hit will open up an html view in a new window that shows additional information for that particular item. I have it set up so it will automatically fill in the Asset number (Pick_Asset) based off the meeting application. That works fine. What I'm trying to do is then auto fill in the Asset Description as well so when you click on the subform it will pop up with the Pick_Asset and the Asset_Description already filled in. However it's not working,

Problem with coding 'Actions on user input'
Hi, I am a bit new to making this kind of thing and would like a bit of help with making a bit of code to make my form look better. I have a question with a drop down box with lists of towns in. At the bottom I have added the word 'Other' in case the town they live is not listed in the box. The next question is 'If other please specify' which is always viewable to everyone and I would like it to pop up when someone clicks on 'Other' instead. View Column Width???
I have done some searches and not found an answer. The width of the columns is too wide in the views. Is there a way to make them more narrow?? I already set the width to a lower number in the forms. That does not change the view. I do not mind doing it in scripts if I have to, but see no way to do it. Thanks
Migration problem tool - can't upload any Lookups
I had an XLS I wanted to upload; I used the migration tool, so I could set up the handful of data relations between tables. However, any time I created Lookup columns, the upload would fail with an error that I had no values for my picklists. (Looking at the .DS file, the picklists were the lookup columns.) I had to change the columns to generic Number fields to get it to upload. It's my impression that I should have been able to define these relationships prior to the upload, even with no data.

Variable Questions
I need a variable that can be accessed by multiple 'on user input' things. I don't seem to be able to declare the variable in the onLoad section and then access in the onUserInput sections, is there any way to make this work? I don't want to have to make a form to store a variable in a database. It seems like such a waste.

Sending information from one form to another quit working I set up a form called Test_Reserve and a form Called Test_Cal_Form Was having great luck sending information from Test_Reserve to Test_Cal_Form so I could create a google cal feed. Routine to Update Existing Data in Forms
How can I run through existing data already in a form (100's of records), and update a field value based upon some criteria? On Success Error to non-existent script
For my form Add_Task, I have multiple views whose criteria is specified to an specific employee as a quick task sheet. Add new Tech script issue
I had two techs and removed one. I went to add another (using Google integration) and it keeps giving me a this error: Invalid entries found. Please correct and submit again. When I select view errors I get: Failed to add data.Error at on submit script. Note: We are working on giving more meaningful error messages on script failures. Hello all, I am trying to create an email report that will look at the description field of my data capture form, and email me an alert if the data for that particular field has not been updated in "X" days. Example: Search the description field for "MP_Controller_HIGH_TEMP" if description matches search then check modified date, if date is 10 days old, then email all serial numbers that have not been updated in 10 days. May be it's exactly the same, because I was told that there was an issue with special characters, and I tried changing the characters that caused problems then (á, ñ), and everything works well, but I need those characters.
