search function
Does the Zoho Projects team consider an across-projects search function viable? I can see that at a certain number of projects, management might become complex, and to a great degree rely on the client's/user's memory. A search function would greatly help and improve overall management with a large number of projects with corresponding large numbers of tasks.
Zoho Projects Suggestions for Improvement
For Timesheet entry, it would be really helpful if there was a way to enter time without having to bounce between all the projects a person has assignments within. Similiarly, it would be handy to also have a way to view the time I have entered for across everything and also be able to report in the same way. This would really help to ensure that all 8 hrs in a day (or 10 or 12 or 14 depending on how busy things are) are accounted for without having to use a pen and paper to add everything up. Dave
Export All: Time Sheets
In the "Hours" column of the exported excel document for all users timesheets, the hours are listed as characters rather than numbers. In excel 2007 I can change it from characters to numbers, however I am not sure if it can be done in excel 2003, and it is somewhat of a hassle for our accountant to do it each week that he downloads the timesheets. -- Max. www.myprimer.ca Max Bailey

I just added a new user to my project. logged in under that account and was surprised to see all the current tasks visible to that new account even though none of them was assigned to that user I understand that tasks visible to "Any User" are infact that? but whats the use of putting an option to choose who sees what if everyone can see those tasks Please explain Dice

Documents can only be deleted by Admin in Projects. The poster and manager of the project, in addition to the Admin, should be able to delete the document. Lionel Silva

Is there a way to get a forum that spans various projects? Also, is there a way to customize the default page that I see I click on a project? Instead of seeing the dashboard, I'd prefer to see the Tasks & Milestones tab, first. Thanks!
Left-Collapse/Shutter Proj/User panel
Hello - Enjoying Zoho projects greatly - props to the devs ! Unless we've missed it, any plans to add a left-slide/shutter option to the left Projects/Users panel ala' the manner you can shutter-left the left panel on G***** Maps. We think that would be nice for the all-projects, 'My work calendar' view as there's a lot of text scrunching at small screen geometries in that view. Also would help for lap/micro book screen sizes. Just a suggest - not a dealbreaker...tnx !

Project Groups
Hi Zoho Team, We really like your project app, but we have a problem. We have over 75 projects now and it is becoming difficult to manage our employee / project assignment. What we need is the ability to assign projects to a "Group". If this were possible then we could simply assign employees a "Group" of projects instead of manually selecting 50 projects at a time out of a list of 75+. A new Gantt Chart Idea
I have an idea for a new chart that I would like to see. We use for capacity planning purposes, a chart that shows each user and the projects they are actively working on with a 2 or 3 month timeframe. Typically the user is down the Y axis, timeframe is along the X axis and the projects are color coded (to show main milestone). Is there anyway to do this in Zoho Projects? Richard Wand

Gantt Chart not working right
Hi - I have this problem with the gantt charts. Have you ever seen this? To me this seems like a major problem and one that may cause me to explore other options for project management software. user management
Currently I can only add and delete users, and assign a role. It doesn't seem to me that the roles really make all that much difference regarding access rights. I am interested in being able to restrict users from certain aspects of the project site. For example I would like User A to see the tasks, calendar, and documents, but not have access to the forums or I would like User B to have access to the documents, but nothing else. Custom Data??
Is there a way in Zoho projects to put custom data? For instance for each project I need to show the customer some information as commodity, dims, weight, origin, destination, customer project #, our internal #, etc.. This information needs to show somewhere in the project so that customer can see this. In crm you can add custom fields however I cannot see this in the projects? Opening documents in ZOHO Projects
I've created a couple documents in Zoho projects to put notes. First is there a way to get a notebook in Projects? When I want to go back and edit/open a document is wants to open MS Word locally and save locally. I want to edit the version online and save online. I then found the Firefox plugin hoping that would solve the problem but I don't see any other choice? I need a way to collect and organize notes in a project. Thanks brandklev

Bug in the Date Format Settings
Changed the default Date Format in the settings and now all my dates are screwed up. Try entering a new milestone or date and you will see that it does not keep the date you want. xservice

How to change URL?
If I made a typo in my original URL I set up (myproject.projects.zoho.com) is there any way I can fix it? It won't seem to let me edit it in the settings.
