Hi Zoho Team,
We’d like to request a feature enhancement in Zoho Desk that would greatly improve configuration management for organizations like ours:
The ability to export the full structure of Field Dependencies, especially for multi-level Category fields (e.g., Category → Sub Category → Third Level Category).
In our support system, we use field dependencies to categorize incoming tickets across three levels. This categorization is not just for internal organization — it’s essential for analyzing why customers are contacting us, identifying common issues, and making data-driven decisions.
Creating and maintaining these multi-level category structures is a meticulous and ongoing process. Over time, it’s easy to unintentionally create orphan values — subcategories or third-level values that are not linked to any parent and therefore never appear in the UI. These misconfigurations are hard to spot without being able to review the full dependency tree externally.
We’re looking for a way to export the full Field Dependency structure so that we can:
Review and audit the configuration outside of the UI.
Identify orphaned or unlinked values that may be causing issues.
Share the full category tree with stakeholders (e.g., product, support, QA) who do not have access to Desk setup screens.
Document and map our support workflows as part of internal processes and compliance.
Export via the Zoho Desk UI (CSV, JSON, etc.)
Export via API
This request is not about exporting ticket data — but about accessing and exporting the configuration itself.
We believe this improvement will help many organizations maintain a cleaner, more accurate, and more transparent support setup.
Thanks in advance for considering this request.
Best regards,
Ram
